This is a fairly straight forward repair. Soldering skills are required.
Still possible even if you've only soldered twice in your life and are afraid you'll make a mess of it. You know who you are ;)

| Step 1 :: Back Cover Removal |
![[step 1 photo]](43372/step01-2.jpg) Remove the 6 8mm screws in the back cover using a #1 Philips screwdriver.

| Step 2 :: Loosen Cable | ![[step 2 photo]](43372/step02-1.jpg) Lift the back cover off the controller. Remove the cable from its holders to facilitate PCB removal.

| Step 3 :: PCB Removal | ![[step 3 photo]](43372/step03-1.jpg) Lift the PCB straight up and out of the controller. Turn the board over to access the solder joints for the cable. Desolder the 5 connections and solder in your new cable. NOTE: Wire colors are printed on the reverse side of the board.
