The console only had audio on one channel. The reason for this was leaking capacitors that had partially damaged the circuit traces. |

| Step 1 :: Exposing the PCB | ![[step 1 photo]](168916/step01-1.jpg) Open the Nintendo and remove the motherboard. Then, unscrew the top metal cover. The capacitors are located underneath.

| Step 2 :: Testing and replacing capacitors | ![[step 2 photo]](168916/step02-1.jpg) The 2 SMD capacitors, each rated at 10µF in this area, had leaked and partially damaged the traces in the surrounding area. A wire jumper and 2 replacement capacitors were soldered on.
